The Kiln Post

The Kiln Post is a communal ceramics workspace that houses 8 emerging ceramic artists in our refurbished warehouse in downtown Nashville. Our goal is to provide a safe, equitable, and affordable space for emerging artists to work and learn together. This space creates a small clay community where new artists can learn from each other, and share the financial burden of opening a professional studio. Most starting ceramics studios have an initial overhead of $10,000 which can be insurmountable, and is a barrier for entry for many people who are interested in the industry. We offer an alternative, one that isn’t quite so lonely. We want to support you and your artistic journey, just like a post holds a kiln shelf.
