Class Description

Welcome to Old School Farm Pottery! There are a variety of fun and interesting ways to decorate pottery. In this class, we’ll learn all about the Italian decoration method called sgraffito. Sarah, the instructor, will have plenty of Halloween and Autumn themed prompt ideas for you, or you can use your own inspiration! After a quick tour of our new studio space and introduction, your instructor will give a demonstration and answer questions. Then carve patterns, illustrations, and even lettering into your own custom plate! Tools and materials will be provided.

2-4 weeks after getting your hands dirty you will be getting your brand new artwork in the mail.

Clay, tools, and a drink are included in the price for the class.

Working with clay takes a lot of practice, and is really dirty. Even though we have aprons in house for you to use, we recommend you wear some clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. At the end of class you will choose how you want your work to be glazed by picking a glaze from our glaze wall. 2-4 weeks after getting your hands dirty, your brand new artwork will be ready for pick-up, or we can mail it to you.
